Job Summary:
The Chef de Partie reports directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. The Chef de Partie is expected to help support the Sous Chef in line maintenance, waste management, and portion controls. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to aid in developing menu features. The successful candidate will work hands on with our entire culinary team to ensure training and our high standards of excellence are met, as we strive to exceed the expectations of our guests.
The Chef de Partie must bring a positive, team first attitude and ensure these attributes are practiced amongst your fellow staff members. The candidate must possess a passion for cooking, and creativity. Collaboration, communication and striving for success are attributes necessary for the position.
*Candidate Qualifications:*
* Experience in fast paced culinary environment
* Desire to provide the highest food quality
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Creativity
* A high level of passion and enthusiasm for cooking
* Experience in direct supervision and training of staff
* A high level of cleanliness and sanitation procedures
* Must have a valid drivers license and be able to commute independently
*Responsibilities:*
* Assist the Sous Chef in all day to day operations including but not limited to: prep lists, food quality checks, daily food preparations, ordering and organizing
* Working alongside the culinary team to execute menu items and orders in a timely manner
* Work with the Sous Chef to create feature menus
* Help develop and grow the culinary team
* Be a presence on the floor to help support the culinary team
*Skills:*
* Proven experience as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment
* Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling)
* Understanding of food safety practices
* Excellent time management skills
* Ability to work well under pressure in a team setting
* *Red Seal an asset*

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 ? 40 per week

* Food Handler Certification (preferred)
* Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
