*Accounting Manager (On-site)*
Daybar is North America?s largest independently owned manufacturer of steel doors and frames. Utilizing the industry?s most advanced automated manufacturing processes, Daybar supplies projects ranging from commercial to complex industrial applications.
Daybar is currently recruiting a well-rounded Accounting Manager to manage a team of 4 direct reports. This role requires the candidate to commute to our offices at 50 West Drive in Brampton from Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate has an accounting designation, experience overseeing A/R, A/P, payroll, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, cost accounting, implementing and monitoring financial controls, reviewing multi-company and multi-currency transactions in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will also have participation in the ERP implementation from a finance standpoint.
*Responsibilities*
* Oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, cost accounting, and intercompany.
* Full cycle accounting experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations.
* Implement, document, manage, and maintain internal control and accounting policies to ensure standardized accounting records across all plants.
* Complete the month-end close on time with quality and according to the company?s policies.
* Review intercompany transactions and reconcile the intercompany accounts.
* Manage tax filing processes to ensure compliance with corporate tax, HST and other government reconciliations and remittances.
* Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and customer cash postings.
* Manage, coach, and train direct reports to ensure a high-performance accounting team.
* Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities for improvement and participate in the deployment of new modules and processes
* Provide training and resolve questions arising from the use of the ERP financial modules.
* Collaborate with our ERP implementation team to migrate financial information on time and accurately.
*Skills and Experience*
* Manufacturing industry experience of 5 years, with knowledge of purchase orders, 3-way matching, bills of materials, manufacturing processes, and cost accounting.
* Experience with ERP SaaS software such as Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics D365, or MS Dynamics NAV, with a strong knowledge of AP, AR, Purchase Orders, Cash, Fixed Assets, and Sales Orders.
* CPA in good standing.
* 5-10 years of experience as an Accounting Manager.
* Strong accounting knowledge and focus on internal controls and compliance.
* Reliable, trustable, and able to work with various teams in different locations.
* Excellent judgement, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
