Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Noisy. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Clean and prepare surfaces. Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings. Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets. Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists. Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath. Install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Hard hat. Steel-toed safety boots. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Health benefits: Dental plan. Health care plan. Vision care benefits.
