Experior Financial Group Inc. is looking for a Senior Commissions Manager.
*Responsibilities:*
* Lead and continue to develop the Commissions departments on both sides of the business (CA & US).
* Oversee administrator's collecting, processes and inputting commissions statements from various insurance providers.
* Reconcile bank deposits against commission statements.
* Respond to agent inquiries in a timely, accurate and pleasant manner.
* Maintain and update commissions department process manual.
* Perform other duties pertaining to the commissions department requested by your immediate manager.
* Offer process and technology improvement suggestions.
* Maintain and update department process manuals and training material.
* Perform other duties pertaining to the Commissions department requested by company management and executives.
* Identify and rectify all opportunities within the department(s).
* Provide relevant department updates to management and stay up to date with all tasks inside your team and department.
* Manage and motivate the Canadian and American Commissions Teams.
* Support and coach the team by providing resources and guidance that will help employees perform their responsibilities with ease and confidence.
* Monitor performance and progression of team members throughout the year and apply corrective measures to performance improvement when necessary. (Includes, biennial reviews and more frequently when necessary).
* Assist with hiring for roles withing the Commission department
* Lead training of new staff in the Commissions departments.
* Conduct weekly department meetings to discuss priorities and updates.
*Qualifications:*
* 3-5 years working in a Compensation, Commissions and/or bookkeeping department within the Insurance and/MGA sector + 1-2 years in a leadership role is required.
* Any experience working with American Life Insurance is considered a strong asset.
* Excellent leadership skills; identifying opportunities, providing feedback, and inspiring growth.
* Superior verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy skills are essential.
* Reliable and trustworthy.
* Ability to thrive working with tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
* Friendly approach in delivering challenging information to people in person, over the phone, and through email.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems.
* Handle stressful situations with a positive, can-do attitude.
* Have great problem-solving skills.
* Positive attitude and able to accept constructive criticism.
* Takes initiative and willing to find the answer.
* Must be able to take ownership of your work.
* Speaking French / Spanish considered a strong asset.
* Willing to learn French / Spanish
