ReceptionistMetropolitan DistrictLocation: Dartmouth, Nova ScotiaType of Employment: Full Time, Term (Up to 1 year)Union Status: NSGEU Local 47Competition # MET 24084Closing Date: June 30, 2024About Our OpportunityUnder the direction of the Manager, Client Service, the Receptionist provides effective and efficient switchboard and receptionist service to the callers and visitorsResponsibilities• Operate Meridian system switchboard, responding to general inquiries and redirecting callers and incoming clients to staff member or appropriate department.• Screen applicants for eligibility and conduct NS Power check.• Perform data entry for new applications.• Prepare and mail acknowledgement letters to applicants.• Process and distribute incoming mail.• Maintain a record of outgoing registered mail.• Provide clerical support as required to the Applications Department.• Other assigned duties.Qualifications• Grade 12 or high school with three years' related experience.• Competency in desktop software, including Microsoft Office. Assets:• Working knowledge of Yardi Property Management software.Competencies required at this level of work are Interpersonal skills, Communication skills, Organizational and Time Management skills, EquivalencyAn equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.
