This is a permanent position.Reporting to the Integrated Planning Superintendent, the role holder will produce schedules for crews on a shift-by-shift basis and update the schedule based on progress to keep the T1 mine on-track for the week. You will assess the progress made by the previous day, night and daily crews based on the documentation produced by the crews, supervisors and mining areas. Additionally, in this position you will:Be responsible for weekly, monthly, and annual scheduling for the maintenance and operations teams.Utilize SAP and work management systems to build accurate schedules.Work collectively with peers and cross functionally with colleagues in operations, engineering, maintenance, and services to achieve the objectives of the business unit.Monitor shift schedule compliance and understand deviation causes.Recommend Improvements to area maintenance and operations teams.Seek feedback from Supervisors/crew members to improve process. Carryout tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designate to achieve the desired results within an agreed upon timeline and end state.Escalate changes requiring a shift in priority inside and outside the week of execution to the appropriate area Superintendent.Work within budget, guidelines and standards to execute safety and production plans as established. Focus on results.About You:Education:Post secondary education within a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.Experience:Minimum of two years of experience in a Planning and SchedulingExperience using scheduling software and SAP.Heavy industry experience would be an asset.Skills:Ability to prioritize asset's maintenance to ensure plant reliability.Demonstrated ability to stay organized and chair meetings in person and remotely.Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments.Ability to work independently to achieve outcomes with minimum supervision.Strong oral and written communication skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs (Excel, Word, Power BI)How can Vale grow your career?
