The district enrolls approximately 22,000 students (K-12) and employs over 3000 dedicated staff. <p>SD 38, Richmond School District, is looking to build its School Psychologists Team. We currently have both full-time and part-time continuing FTE available starting September 1, 2024. <p>Benefits of working for SD 38: <p><p> working as a trusted professional within a collaborative work environment<p> an environment in which professional development is encouraged and financially supported<p> a well-resourced test library<p> receive an annual allowance of $6566.30 per collective agreement provisions<p> be reimbursed at an equitable rate for approved mileage between schools<p><p>Job Description: <p>All positions within Learning Services engage in supporting the District's Strategic Plan, specifically, Strategic Priority 1: Inspired Learners and Strategic Priority 2: Equity and Inclusion. The School Psychologist position includes opportunities to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment in the context of the Learning Services Department and with school personnel. This position also involves professional consultation and supporting educational changes in a variety of contexts. The successful candidate will also:<p><p> Provide collaborative consultation with teachers, parents, and community agencies, and at school-based team meetings<p> Provide ongoing collaborative planning for students and classrooms and assist with pre-referral interventions<p> Provide individualized psycho-educational assessments (based on student need) for students referred through the school-based team process<p> Contribute to the development and progress monitoring of the IEP or Student Learning Plan<p> Provide in-service training in the area of interventions, progress monitoring, data collection and/or assessment<p> Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication<p> Assist school and district staff in providing additional Pro D support for educators and support staff<p><p>Qualifications: <p><p> a Master's degree in school/educational psychology (or related field) <p> Certified/eligible for certification with the British Columbia Association of School Psychologists and/or Registration with the College of Psychologists, with special training and supervision in school psychology<p> Teaching certification with BC Teacher Regulation Branch an asset<p><p>If you have any questions about this position, please contact Braunwyn Thompson, Director of Instruction Inclusive Learning (bthompson@sd38.bc.ca).
