And we live it too.</span></p><strong>THE ROLE</strong><p><span>Supporting and working alongside the members of the Canadian Armed Forces and actively preparing them to defend and serve our country could be your path to an extremely fulfilling career. </span></p> <p><span>As part of a dynamic and dedicated team, as the Physical Exercise Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with a very highly motivated and professional clientele who are eager to return to duty and improve their condition. Daily, you will lead reconditioning programs for Canadian Armed Forces members who may be affected with medical conditions and improve their functional abilities related to their physical limitations.</span></p> <p><span>As the Physical Exercise Specialist, you will specifically oversee the implementation of the Aircrew Conditioning Program. The Aircrew Conditioning Program is a joint initiative of the Canadian Forces Health Services Group, Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services, Defense Research and Development Canada, and the Royal Canadian Air Force. The Aircrew Conditioning Program consists of supervised and comprehensive exercises that target strength, cardio, mobility, core and neck muscles, and is a proactive program that can improve the physical health and performance of Air Force pilots throughout their careers.</span></p> <p><span>Much like the military we so proudly support, we push the envelope of what?s possible. Working with us, you?ll have the opportunity to deliver programs and services in collaboration with a highly professional team of health services practitioners. Other stakeholders will be at your disposal to ensure a client?s successful return to duty.</span></p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED</strong><p><span><strong>Education, Certifications and Licenses </strong></span></p> <p><span>Bachelor?s degree in Physical Education, Human Kinetics, Exercise Physiology, Exercise Sciences or in a related field </span></p> <p><span>Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) certification <span>from the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP)</span></span></p> <p><span> Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications </span></p> <p><span><strong> Experience </strong></span></p> <p><span>In developing, implementing and delivering physical fitness programs </span></p> <p><span>In preparing and conducting physical fitness training sessions</span></p> <p><span> In communications for professional and public audiences</span></p> <p><span> In the delivery of adult education and facilitation of workshops</span></p> <p><span> In applying policies, procedures, and regulations </span></p> <p><span><strong>Competencies, Skills and Abilities</strong></span></p> <p><span> Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership</span></p><strong>LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS</strong><p><span><strong>English Essential / </strong><strong>Bilingual (English and French) an asset</strong></span></p> <p><span>Reading: <span>Functional</span></span></p> <p><span>Writing: <span>Functional</span></span></p> <p><span>Oral: Functional</span></p><strong>BENEFITS AVAILABLE</strong><p><strong><span>Health Benefits:</span></strong><span> Drug coverage, healthcare spending account, virtual care (telemedicine), Employee and Family Assistance Program, mental health support, travel insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.</span></p> <p><strong>
