CLASS 1</b><b> </b><b></b></p><p><b>DEPARTMENT: </b><b>HUMAN RESOURCES AND PAYROLL </b><b></b></p><p><b>SALARY: </b><b>FROM $22,36 TO $25,00 AN HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</b><b></b></p><p><b>COMPETITION NUMBER: </b><b>OA1PAY2406-01</b><b></b></p><p><b>LOCATION: </b><b>MONTREAL</b><b></b></p><p><b>STATUS: </b><b>FULL-TIME REGULAR POSITION</b><b></b></p><p><b>START DATE: </b><b>JULY 2024 </b><b></b></p><p><b><i>Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.</i></b></p><p><b>FUNCTION & DUTIES:</b></p><ul><li>Creates employee files</li><li>Gathers, compiles, validates and registers time sheets and absence reports</li><li>Creates, enters & verifies various third-party deductions for example (government seizures, municipal housing or our finance & transport department)</li><li>Simulates employee payroll calculation in specific situations</li><li>Modifies basic information in the employee?s file</li><li>Responds to inquiries by administrators or employees regarding pay issues</li><li>Files documents</li><li>Any other related task.</li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p><p>Secondary 5- and one-year relevant experience.</p><p> </p><p><i>The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.<b></b></i></p><p> </p><p><b>REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><ul><li>Experience in computer data entry</li><li>Knowledge of offices Microsoft office software</li><li>Fluency in 2 of the 3 working languages of the Board (Inuktitut, French, and English)</li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><b>ASSETS:</b></p><ul><li>Written and spoken Inuktitut.</li><li>Knowledge GRICS payroll system.</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>WORK SCHEDULE:</b></p><p>35 hours/week from Monday to Friday</p><p><b> </b></p><p><b>CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS:</b></p><p>In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4102: from $22,36 to $25,00 an hour depending on qualification and experience.
