Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Various locations. Service. On-site customer service. Electronic. Tasks: Maintain laboratory equipment. MS Office. Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies. Test and adjust repaired products for proper functioning. Repair or replace defective or worn-out parts and components using hand, power or specially designed tools. Inspect products to determine the requirements for repair. Inspect and test electronic equipment and assemblies. Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults. Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Calibrate products using hand tools. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Provide customer service. Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems. Repair electronic equipment . Install electronic equipment . Type of service and repair: Spectrometers. Analytical techniques: Spectroscopy. High vacuum techniques. Physical separation techniques. GC-MS/FID system.
