PREP's dedicated in-house team of professional engineers, project managers and accredited Red Seal technicians is able to respond with expert solutions that meet its customers' unique needs.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Role:</strong></p><p>The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for leading sales efforts to expand the company's client base globally. This person will be a strategic, big picture thinker, preferably with a background in technical sales. Their goal will be to leverage the company's Mechanical, Electrical and Automation & Control skills to approach potential customers with tailored solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and creative individual who enjoys finding ways to provide business value to clients across multiple industries and applications.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Actively search and connect with new and existing market spaces identifying areas where the company can provide service or solutions.</li><li>Collaborate with General Manager, Service Director and Managing Director to implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets</li><li>Establish communication with proposed contacts within markets, define opportunities and value added proposals.</li><li>Build and maintain relationships with potential clients and existing customers</li><li>Provide technical support and product information as needed</li><li>Collaborate with the project team to develop bid documentation including detailed quote estimates</li><li>Collaborate with the Managing Director to build on the Company's current marketing materials and marketing strategy</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Sales/Marketing with relevant Technical or Science studies</li><li>Knowledge and experience with industrial machinery an asset</li><li>Motivated, self-starter</li><li>Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills</li><li>Customer focused with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Strong consultative skills</li><li>Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.</li><li>Excellent negotiation and diplomacy skills, with a high degree of tact and persuasiveness.</li><li>High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Access software</li><li>Ability to travel; possess a valid passport and driver's license</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>Company events</li><li>Dental care</li><li>Disability insurance</li><li>Employee assistance program</li><li>Extended health care</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>RRSP match</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li><li>Vision care</li></ul></div>Company Description<div>Pacific Rim Engineered Products (PREP) is a Canadian company and a leading provider of engineered solutions for ever evolving markets.
