CASUAL SUMMER PROGAMMING ASSISTANT <p>REQUIRED FOR ST. PAUL EDUCATION St. Paul Education's Together We're Better MHCB program is looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist with programming this summer . <p>The position will be for a total of 260 hours between July 2, 2024, and August 23, 2024.<p>The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision and guidance of members of the Together We're Better MHCB team to assist with the following: In-person mental health programming for children, youth, and families<p> Handing out mental health related information/activity packages to community membersRequirements: Ability to travel independently throughout the St Paul Education School Division (Counties of St. Paul and Two Hills)<p> Flexible schedule to accommodate changing needs of the program throughout the summer<p> Positive attitude and curiosity for new activities and challenges<p> Verbal communication skills and willingness to follow the leadership of the Together We're Better MHCB team as well as interact with the general public<p> Experience working with children and youth<p> Preference will be given to applicants with at least 2 years of post-secondary studies in social sciences, social work, child development, or education.Background information: <p>Together We're Better MHCB operates year-round as one of the core projects in a province-wide Mental Health Capacity Building in Schools Initiative. MHCB programs are funded through Alberta Health Services and implemented locally through school jurisdictions. The MHCB Mission is to promote positive mental health in children, youth, families and individuals in the community who interact with children and youth. In doing so, St. Paul Education became the only school division in Alberta to operate both separate and public schools under one board. The Division's religious, linguistic and cultural diversity is a source of strength and pride.<p>We serve 3625 students (K-12), including Catholic, First Nation, Mennonite, Hutterite and Home Schooling learners.
