Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Willing to relocate. General manufacturing. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Set up and operate conventional and computer controlled machine tools. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Overtime required. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability.
