Our Team: The Cobalt Refinery receives raw materials from our Sudbury operations and refines them to a finished cobalt round that is packaged and distributed to customers worldwide. The Cobalt Refinery Team is also responsible for treating effluent within the Port Colborne Refinery and supplies compressed air, high-pressure steam, and potable and plant water to the facility.The Opportunity:We are currently seeking a Supervisor, Production to join our Cobalt Refinery Team in Port Colborne, Ontario. This is a permanent position.As a Supervisor, Production you will be accountable for meeting the production goals along with the objectives of the work area in safety, reliability, efficiency, and quality. You will be accountable to return a process under control when required and maintain the process within the established limits. You will also be tasked with identifying variances and take action to address issues or take advantage of opportunities as they arise.Additionally, in this position you will:Ensure that all team members reporting to them in the workplace take responsibility for aspects of their health and safety over which they have control including adherence to all Occupational Health and Safety requirements.Demonstrate commitment to the continued improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Performance.Hold crew accountable for area safety behavior, housekeeping, teamwork, and professionalism.Ensures all work is executed within stated policies and procedures.Supervise the production work components of the Work Management process.Execute tasks as assigned by the Superintendent or their designate to achieve the desired results within stated timelines and end state.Work within budget, guidelines, and standards to execute production plans as established by the Superintendent or their designate.Work collaboratively with peers and support groups to achieve outstanding results.Adhere to Vale's Safety Policies and Programs and Government Legislative Standards and Regulations.Possess the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.Effective written and oral communication skills.Must be obsessed with safety and risk management.Demonstrate open dialogue and transparency in all aspects of their work and interaction with others.Accept responsibility and deliver on commitments.About You Education:College Diploma or a grade 12 with equivalent experience.Experience:Leading a team of employees is preferred.Familiarity of a refinery environment is an asset.Knowledge of packing and automated equipment is an asset.Experience in an effluent or water treatment plant is an asset.Knowledge of air, steam, and water utilities is an asset.Skills:Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well with others in a team environment.Written and oral communication skills.Must be obsessed with safety and risk.Demonstrated open and transparent dialogue in all aspects of work.Proficiency with SAP and the Microsoft Office Products is an asset.What we offer you: Competitive salary Attractive pension and benefits (company paid core coverage, flex health and d
