<p> EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 2023-2024: EO 127 <p> PRINCIPAL <p> SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM: TRANSITIONS <p> Catholic Education Centre (in-person)<p> (1 position) <p> (Internal posting) <p> Date: <p> May 30, 2024 The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board invites internal applicants to apply for the position of PRINCIPAL for the SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM: Transitions (in person). The successful candidate is a current principal or vice/principal of a school and is an innovative<p>and exemplary leader, able to demonstrate personal leadership resources and practices found in the Ontario Catholic School Level Leadership Framework, promote student achievement, lead professional learning communities, is dedicated to ensuring that all of our students are successful in achieving the Ontario Catholic Graduate Expectations and has responsibility for advancing the Boards vision of achieving excellence in Catholic Education by Being Creative, Being Well & Being Community.<p>The successful candidate will support and lead the special education resources deployed to the in-person summer learning program.<p>One principal will be assigned to Summer Learning Elementary Programs - Special Education and Student SuccessProgramming for in person learning commencing July 2, 2024 to August 1, 2024. <p>Duties will include:<p> Program planning with special education resource teachers and special education support staff;<p> Staffing with the Principal of Continuing Education and Human Resource Services;<p> Supervision of staff;<p> Transportation (if required);<p> Development of student, teacher and special education support staff schedules at multi-site locations in several regions of the board (dependent on enrollment);<p> Investigating student profiles to develop individual program responses prior to program start;<p> Supporting review of IEP accommodations and modifications;<p> Managing delivery of program to learners to assist them in transitioning from and back to<p> school commencing in September;<p> Coordinating the day-to-day program implementation, recreational activities, collection of<p> research data and overall well-being of students;<p> Initiating a process to report to September receiving schools information on the success of participating summer learning students;<p> Supporting the purchase and delivery of resources;<p> Working with special education teachers, special education support staff, and the board<p> Mental Health team to develop schedules for students to receive support;<p> Program planning (establishing timetable and routines that include nutritious snacks and physical activity) and support, on site, as required;<p> Overseeing the Strong Kids Camp<p> Overseeing the Navigating Social World summer program<p> Ensuring communication and coordination with special education consultants and board experts;<p> Providing consistent contact with Regional Lead (MOE) if required;<p> Coordinating the availability of technology for added engagement for learning and communication;<p> Overseeing Health and Safety requirements and practices for the site;<p> Other duties as assigned by the Supervisory Officer of Special Education.<p> Supporting Continuing Educations as needed including: Supporting the Camp Aim programs as needed<p> Fire drill at each of the summer learning locations duringthe first week of the program<p> Support St. Mary CSS and St. Thomas CSS technology class
