<p>Learning Coordinator, Indigenous Education <p>Reporting to the Department of Learning Services, the Learning Coordinator will function as a member of an interdisciplinary team charged with providing fluid and flexible support(s) across the district at all levels. The Learning Coordinator will facilitate capacity building by assisting the district in actualizing the goals of the Strategic Plan and the NLPS Learning Framework.<p>Operating within a response to intervention (RTI) framework, the Learning Coordinator will provide instructional leadership and support at both the school and district levels on all aspects of the NLPS Learning Framework.<p> Working as a member of the Department of Learning Services you will: Support alignment within and between the goals of: the Ministry of Education, District & Schools;<p> Function as a leader who works independently and as a team member, takes initiative to: Create strategic goals;<p> Build annual work plans;<p> Move into action and implementation;<p> Create feedback loops/monitor systems for the purpose of measuring growth and efficacy; <p> Lead with an inclusive vision that support success for all;<p> Able to lead collaborative Inquiry across all levels of the system<p> Provide district-wide learning opportunities in all areas of the NLPS Learning Framework (portfolio responsibilities will vary);<p> Develop a learning infrastructure to enhance system capacity<p> Promote the effective use of technology to enhance learning;<p> Support the Department of Learning Services with other duties as required.<p> Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and creatively with a team of educators is required. <p> Demonstrated experience with elementary and secondary education would be an asset. Salary: range $59,060 - $106,404<p> Employment Requirements Certification with the Teacher Regulation Branch<p> A Bachelors Degree in Education or equivalent<p> Masters degree, (M.A. or M.Ed.) or related field is an assetAdditional Requirements Knowledge and understanding of the effects of colonization and its impact on teaching and learning in todays schools. Experience integrating Indigenous perspectives into the curriculum together with practicing Indigenous ways of teaching and learning;<p> Preference will be given to an applicants with Indigenous Ancestry <p> The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate strengths in their leadership and communication skills, in particular with Indigenous communities and partners.<p> Diverse teaching experiences that reflect a commitment to advancing innovative instructional practices;<p> High levels of educational innovation and creativity with a focus on student learning;<p> A minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience;<p> Excellent communications skills: both written and spoken<p> Superior interpersonal & intrapersonal skills;<p> Proven leadership, and demonstrated expertise in delivering professional learning opportunities;<p> Demonstrated ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, school administrators, and community agency personnel;<p> Experience and/or expertise in the teaching of literacy and development of inclusive learning strategies at a variety of grade levels, including the appropriate use of technology in support of learning;<p> Demonstrated experience in evidence-based decision making; <p> An in-depth understanding of current trends in education, and a commitment to systemic change.To Apply <p>Applications should include a cover letter, detailed personal rsum, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, transcripts, teacher evaluations and a minimum three references from direct supervisors. <p>To submit your a
