As one part of this comprehensive program, all staff as well as their dependents have access to free and confidential supports through our Employee and Family Assistance Provider (EFAP), in addition to many other program components.About the Role <p>Reporting to the Lead Supervisor, Energy and Safe Environment in the Facility Services Department, the Building Automation Systems Specialist provides comprehensive energy management and building automation system administration and service support in accordance with HWDSB policies & procedures, relevant regulations, codes and best practices. <p>RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer building automation systems security and user access for all Board facilities.<p> Monitor and adjust building automation systems to optimize efficiencies.<p> Analyze and recommend system solutions for complex BAS/HVAC problems.<p> Co-ordinate building automation systems additions and modifications.<p> Liaise and co-ordinate with building automation systems suppliers, installers, users, and external contractors.<p> Provide building automation systems training and operational support to Board staff.<p> Diagnose network communication issues working closely with BAS vendors and IT department to manage servers. <p>QUALIFICATIONS : College diploma in a related field (i.e. engineering/building environmental sciences, energy systems, HVAC) and five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.<p> Proven experience in building operations and maintenance including troubleshooting, installing and programming of related equipment, e.g. building automation controls, air handling units, variable speed drives, boilers, pumps and motors, heat recovery equipment; unitary and terminal units, and chilled water systems.<p> Extensive knowledge of building systems and services, electric, pneumatic and electronic interface and control devices with the expertise to interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.<p> Sound knowledge in the administration, operation, scheduling, commissioning and control strategies as they relate to building automation systems including Johnson Controls Metasys, Siemens Insight and Desiego, Honeywell & Schneider Electric.<p> Proven experience in developing and implementing energy saving measures.<p> Proven project management skills related to building automation and energy efficiency.<p> Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and programming skills related to building automation systems software.<p> Proven organizat
