Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Perform preventive maintenance. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trip reports. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Large workload. Overtime required. Sitting. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Organized. Reliability. Team player. Experience: Will train.
